I recently stayed at Smugglers Rock in the beautiful countryside. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, and the room had a stunning view of the fields and sea. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a lovely shower. I appreciated the fresh bottled water from a local source and the eco-friendly heating and electricity. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to find Linda McCartney sausages on offer. The folder in the room provided interesting information about the building's history and the local area. The location was convenient for exploring the area around Robin Hood's Bay, and it was a peaceful and quiet retreat after a busy road trip. The building had character and the view from the breakfast room was spectacular. The hearty and tasty breakfast was a great way to start the day.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The breakfast variety was impressive, with delicious homemade jams and marmalade to try. the peaceful and quiet atmosphere provided the perfect setting for relaxation and contemplation.
There was a limited choice of bed sizes, with only doubles and four-poster doubles available. It would have been nice to have the option of a king-size bed.
